Vintage Red Suitcase Treasure

Turning Thrift Store Finds into Home Decor Treasures

We live in a world that produces a lot of stuff. Perfectly usable things get tossed aside simply because they aren’t trendy anymore or they no longer serve their purpose. Those are the treasures I thrift shop for when I'm hunting for unique thrift store finds and vintage pieces waiting to be repurposed.

The chipped things.
The overlooked things.
The things sitting quietly on the shelf that most people pass right by.

That suitcase that traveled across the country decades ago and is just waiting to become repurposed vintage decor.

A piece of furniture that survived generations of homework, dinners, and late-night conversations and is ready for its next chapter as upcycled furniture or handmade decor.

Sometimes the most meaningful pieces come from materials that already existed, already lived a life, and just needed someone to see their potential. Thrifted treasures and vintage finds often carry more character than anything brand new.

Repurposing and upcycling aren’t just creative outlets for me. They’re part of a bigger picture. Creating repurposed home decor from thrift store finds keeps beautiful materials out of landfills while giving them a completely new story.

Check back for our next blog to see what projects I'm working on next and what fun items I thrifted.
